Melamine

Melamine has become extremely popularity in South Africa and we perfectly understand that. This man-made material has most often the look (and even sometimes the feel) of wood but has been made in a factory. It is durable, easy to maintain and the price is cheaper than (solid) wood. Last but not least, most melamine boards are manufactured in South Africa. Local manufacturing is great for the environment and the South African economy.

Melamine is being used for kitchen cupboards but also to build furniture. At Furniturespot we use melamine boards mainly in our floating TV cabinets (link). We have floating TV cabinets in a Sahara wood look finish (link) or in an urban trendy look (link)
