The price is 400% cheaper than a solid oak top. It is better resistant to the South African climate with no risk of cupping, bowing, cracking of the top and it is easy in maintenance. But don’t you worry, we do still work with solid woods such as French oak. But always in combination with veneer. Most of our tabletops have a veneer oak top with a solid oak edge. Designing furniture with best of both worlds in mind.
